Fellows

His Excellency the President of the Republic of Albania Bujar Nishani became a senior fellow and life member of the Royal Ghassanid Academy of Arts & Sciences.  He graduated at the Skanderbeg Military University in 1988, followed up in 1996 with master's studies on "defense resources management" in the United States at the Naval Postgraduate School. In 2004, he graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Tirana and studied jurisprudence. He completed his master's degree in European studies in 2005. 

The appointment was handed at the Presidential Palace in Tirana, Albania in 2017. Present to the audience HIRH Prince Gharios El Chemor, Head of the Royal House of Ghassan, HIRH Cheikh Selim El Chemor, the President of the Lebanese branch of the Royal House of Ghassan,  and Prof. Dr. Thomas Schirrmacher, the President of the Ghassanid Royal Academy.  

His Beatitude, Anastasios, Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania (in memorian), was also made a Senior Fellow and Life member of the Royal Ghassanid Academy of Arts & Sciences in June, 2017.

His Beatitude is Professor Emeritus of the National University of Athens, Honorary Member of the Academy of Athens, was one of the presidents of the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches, and the honorary president of the World Conference of Religions for Peace. He has an extensive scientific career and a robust bibliography of publications in science, religions, and inter-religious work.
